Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to PS/IS  119Q for the 2015-2016 school year!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH 

Kindergarten through Grade 4:  Doors will open at 7:45 a.m. Students will enter through the auditorium entrance on 75th Street.

  • Kindergarten students will be have early dismissal on Wednesday, September 9th only. Dismissal will begin at 11:10 a.m. through the small school yard on 74th Street.  
  • First full day for Kindergarten students will be on Thursday, September 10th. Dismissal will begin at 2:10 p.m. 
  • Parents of Kindergarten students are invited to attend a parent orientation on September 9th, at 8:30 a.m. in the school auditorium.


Grades 1 through the 4
:  Dismissal will be through the 
74th street school yard beginning at 2:15 p.m.


Middle School students:
  
Doors will open at 8:00 a.m.  Students are to enter the building using the 74th street school yard entrance.  Dismissal will be at 2:20 p.m.

*Free breakfast for all students every day; doors open at 7:30 a.m. through the 74th street entrance.

Dear Parents,

            We are looking forward to a successful school year.  In order to make the first day run smoothly, we would like you to follow a few guidelines in regard to supplies.   With the help of the Classroom Mom and PTA the following guidelines will alleviate congestion of supplies for multiple grades.

First Day of School (September 9th)

Kindergarten – Bring all supplies (1/2 day)

Grades 1-4 – Bring all Academic Supplies (Notebooks, Folders, Pencils, etc.)

Grades 6-8 – Teachers will send home lists on the first day of school 

Second Day of School (September 10th)

Grades 1-2 – Bring all other non-academic supplies

Third Day of School (September 11th)

Grades 3-4 – Bring all other non-academic supplies

NYC Accounts

Register for an Account in Person or Online

To set up an account, you must be your child's parent or legal guardian and live at the same address as he or she. If you have more than one child attending a NYC Public School, you can link all of them to the same NYC Schools account. You can register for a NYC Schools account in two ways:

  • Use the NYC Schools Account Creation Code provided in the letter from your school; OR
  • Visit your child's school in person to receive a temporary password.

If you have your temporary password:

Signing into Your NYC Schools Account

Sign into your NYC Schools account from a computer, phone, or tablet by visiting http://schools.nyc.gov/myaccount

If you created your account in person, enter your email address and temporary password on the NYC Schools login page. Follow the directions printed on your "NYC Schools Account Confirmation Receipt". Your NYC Schools account will walk you through the account set up. See the NYC Schools Account Flyer for more information.
